COOPERATION BRIDGES IN TWO MUNICIPALITIES CULTURE

Last weekend Palilula Municipality was visited by delegation of Bobov Dol (Republic of Bulgaria) on the occasion of the realization of the project of Cooperation for sustainable development of cultural tourism in Bobov Dol and Palilula (Coul Tour)` that is realized within the programme of cross-border cooperation Bulgaria – Serbia within IPP programme. Palilula Municipality as a partner to Bobov Dol Municipality on the project Coul Tour, worked on the improvement and reconstruction of Bubanj Memorial Park – space around memorial monument and Amphitheatre. The Bulgarian delegation and project team consisting of Detelina Borisova, vice president of Municipality, Lilija Stoimenova, financial Municipal expert, Stanislav Tenev, technician secretary and Elena Ionovska, coordinator of project (Coul Tour) of Bobov Dol Municipality were welcomed by Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality. He, together with Milos Stojadinovic, project manager, during the press conference, reminded that the general aim of the project Cooperation for sustainable development of cultural tourism in Bobov Dol and Palilula Municipalities is to promote development of cultural tourism in cross border region through improvement and modernization of infrastructure that relies to cultural and historical heritage in two municipalities and contribute to increasing of cooperation and exchange of the programme in culture of two municipalities.

Total project value realized by Palilula Municipality is 176,000 Euros and project carrier Bulgarian side was approved 300,000 Euros. The main activity - the construction of amphitheatre in Bobov Dol has already been completed and the reconstruction of the amphitheatre in Palilula, Nis is at the moment still active. President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic reminded that this project also represents not only the construction of physical infrastructure, but also establishing of cooperation of two municipalities. We are expecting that this cooperation will continue after the project completion with including institutions and organizations from territory of our Municipality – said Dzunic.

Project Coul Tour started on July 28 2011 and is completed on January 28 2013. However, according to Milos Stojadinovic words, the finishing activity is completion of this project that should be cultural-art activity and meeting of the children fro both municipalities that will be organized in new amphitheatre in Bobov Dol after the approval of donor in Spring 2013. We will work on establishing cultural exchange between Palilula and Bobov Dol and continue with new projects of adaptation of Sport recreation complex and Memorial Park Bubanj like sport recreational paths, adaptation and security of the picnic place.

`It is our great pleasure that we visited Palilula Municipality in Serbia, the Municipality we are together on the project within our cross- border cooperation in the area of developing cultural cooperation – said Detelina Borisova, vice president of the president of Bobov Dol. `We are expecting that the activities will also be interesting for the people of two municipalities and that our cooperation could be bigger. We are happy that we are introduced with project team of Palilula since we have very good cooperation. For successful project completion it is necessary to have good cooperation of both sides. We have realized it since we found expert team in Palilula. Borisova wished to her hosts and people of Palilula good health, happiness and many children.

Like part of this project the brochure was also printed – touristic guide with cultural – tourist abd historical monuments of Palilula and Bobov Dol, that will be shared to interested citizens and institutions of two states, reminded Elena Ionovska, coordinator of the project (Coul Tour) of Bobov Dol Municipality.

Two day stay of the delegation and project team of Bobov Dol Municipality in Palilula was completed by visiting the location that are constructed according to this project in Memorial Park Bubanj as visit of other monuments from rich Nis culture and history.
